CadLab Collaboration
Forged from a shared passion for precision and design, the Zero CadLab Collaboration brings a new dimension to the Zero Utility Knife. Custom anodized in West Palm Beach, Florida, each piece showcases CadLabCNC’s signature artistry with finishes beyond standard production. The result is a knife that feels as good as it looks: precision-built and artfully finished.
Pretty little thing and fun to play with. Easy and fun to deploy, fairly easy to change blades too, as long as you're careful. Works with Tajima blades.
Constructive criticism: it is a little too easy for the whole mechanism to pop out when changing blades, although with a little work I was able to reassemble it.
I also tried using the lanyard hold to put it on a split ring, but it makes it awkward to use, something pliant would probably work better. There might be room for improvement here though, not sure. Minor.
Overall very happy with it.
Gets stuck a bit trying to retract. Also gets stuck a little when extending it part way. Otherwise great product. OTFs always have some issue.
Hey! Sorry to hear that, we onboarded a new assembly guy during our recent Cad Lab color batch. A miscommunication had him unaware of the slow retract test & the blade sticking on partial forward movements. This can usually be remedied by applying a little lubrication to the key area, wall, and on the pin itself. If you would like to send it back to us just reach out, we hate to disappoint and will gladly service the knife for you!
Awesome product and great customer service. Will definitely be buying more
